Union City is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Union City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Was a little hesitant to go with Safelite as I was not using the OEM' s windshield. In the end, it was a very smooth experience, I didn't have to go anywhere. I got an appointment the next day. Danny the person installing was great. The price was reasonable after some discount. The windshield looks good and is as good as the original windshield. Glad I chose Safelite.

Service was quick and car windshield was replaced. The issue was the technician Jeremiah. Sped onto and off the property. No acknowledgment of arrival. Just started pulling on door handles and grabbing things. Didn’t even bother to look up. The worst part was it must of been too hard to go to the door and talk to someone like a person to let you know the job was complete. Instead he started banging on the outside wall so I can come out.

One huge thing that I like about safe flight is they’re here for our convenience. You can go to their shop and or they can come to you wherever you’re at even though you make a timeslot it’s still somewhat works around your schedule. The technicians are super friendly. I love how they call ahead of time to make sure to let you know when they’re gonna come so you could still plan your day around their time schedule and I think everything just works out for the best

Disappointed with the replacement. When the technician (Jeremiah) finished he told me the caps to the windshield wiper arms wouldn’t fit back on so he left them in the trunk. They didn’t fit because he broke the clips taking them off. A few weeks later I had to lift the hood of my car for a different reason and found a loose wire dangling. It was part of the windshield fluid system. He also left a couple extra parts on the passenger floor mat. That was fun trying to figure out where they went. Thank you Google lens for the assist. Knock on wood the windshield replacement itself is good. I just didn’t like that I had to spend a couple hours figuring out where the extra parts went and spending an additional $27 for new wiper arm caps.

I put in a claim through my insurance company for a damaged windshield. I was then referred to Safelite to schedule an appointment. The scheduling of the appointment was fairly simple. What I am most unhappy about is how my car was returned to me after the windshield had been replaced. All over my exterior and the interior of my car was covered in the black urethane adhesive they use to bond the windshield. I had been instructed to leave the car out in the sun for an hour to let the adhesive cure, unaware that it was also baking all over my car, dash, and vents. I called the technician up when I noticed and all he could do was apologize. It’s disappointing that with all the politeness and promptness, this is the quality of work I received. If I hadn’t noticed it, it would’ve caused more damage than it already has. This stuff is really hard to get off too. I don’t understand if you are a mobile service, how can you not carry a tarp or towel to put over the dash while this is being done. Or at least double check before you determine you are done with the work.
